So against all orders of house arrest, I broke free last night, I had to as there was a new bird in town as my daughter very kindly brought it to my attention yesterday afternoon when she read it on social media. So I planned if I wait until about 8pm when everyone else has gone...except the bird hopefully then a could toddle at my leisure without being seen or having to talk to anyone

I think the snails where overtaking me at some point but I was determined not to miss this bird as its never been seen before at the Haugh and I had never seen one .

Saw the Kingfisher on the way...sorry kingie your not important today

I went to the top of the mound so it's a better view over the scrap rather than the hide as sun was going down behind me also...check me actually thinking about the setting for a change

And there it was as far away as it could get to me

So my other surprise last night, but could no way beat a spoonbill was a shelduck

Don't think I've seen an almost fully adult Shelduck, only right youngsters, and full adults... deffo unusual plumage
