Hi Placi, loved the colour of the poppy, guessed it was an escaped variety. The yellow flower, not the pot marigold is what the council has planted along the road. New wild flower meadow. Will be interesting to see what else comes up. The young dunnock was in my small plot. Spotted it yesterday when I got home from my walk. The echium was from a couple of weeks back. Flowers now I noticed have all but gone.

The starlings only started using that new feeder when they had babies to feed. Even some sparrows follow them in now.

Could not believe my luck with the last clip today. First time I had seen one of those, was down the Isles of Scilly thirteen years ago. And now on my doorstep almost. Just a mile or so away down near the village.

I had a HB Hawk Moth in my garden about 5 years ago. A fascinating creature to watch

Do we know what was the white-headed bird on the wire ?
I cannot recall when I last saw michaelmas daisies ! Back in the day every garden had at least one .
That puffball was quite a find, Willpar. Slice it and fry it into pastas, stir fries or whatever. Butter is best
Never seen a hawk moth. Quick feeder !

Hi placi, the bird on the wire is a Yellow Hammer. The daisy looking flowers I got a few years ago, are better this year. But the wind we had has played hell with them. Were several puff ball around, down by the garden centre. The humming bird hawk moth is the first I have seen around here, albeit down the village. That pink stuff seems a magnate for butterflies. Did look the name up, but comes from over the channel. The wing beat of the moth was a lot faster than the video shows. Camera could not keep up with it so looks slower.

"The pink stuff" : I thought it was lilac ? From your comment, Willpar, I guess that was wrong .
