Clips I saved from several weeks ago to present.

Very good willpar. I enjoyed all of it but especially the Butterflies. I always think of Gatekeepers as high summer visitors rather than spring.

That was good, Willpar . I absolutely love pot marigolds - one of my favouritestest flowers of all time.
Well I've learned something toady: never knew that miniature goats are alpacas' very very best friends - great sequence !
Added to all that we have an escaped penstemon

Hi Placi, that escaped penstemon comes up every year in the lane above me. There was a foxglove as well, but it never focused very good. The pot marigold was on the side of the road over the village, growing in a very small verge.

Hi Willpar - hopefully the marigold will seed 'cos it easily spreads here and there and of course, the bees love them .

That is enchanting, Willpar : love the orchids nestling among the cowslips.
Is that the same penstemon, or a diffy one ? And the poppy against the bright blue sky is perfect.

Hi placi, the penstemon is a different one in another lane. That pink stuff below it I have in my drystone wall. I never planted it, and also in my grass. The poppy was on top of a six foot + wall. With a lovely blue sky, I could not resist it. The orchids are beginning to make a show. Loads of wild flowers about, but I just like the interesting or unusual ones.

Fascinating as usual, Willpar (that's some vid camera !!) - the hawkweed shots just go to show how tall they grow when they're not being chopped by a mower regularly .
First impulse was "Welsh poppy" but it wasn't: it's an eschscholzia, escaped I s'pose. Lovely to see, I like those very much.
That echium seems to be supporting an entire hive all by itself !!
And a young dunnock - not seen often. Lovely sight.
