Placido wrote: Thu May 28, 2020 9:28 am Right now - it used to be called "Whitsun" - 30 years ago, we were on the Isle of Skye in a self-catering pine lodge. I got talking to the lady who was in charge of the complex about eagles, and she said quite matter-of-factly that they got loads of eagles. She turned to a fence and said that the eagles sat on the fence and watched her hang out the washing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lost for words .....
Amazing revelation. It does rather beg the question as why hanging out the washing drew a crowd of Eagles. I shan't dwell on it as I'm sure the stunning Skye scenery compensated for any lack of Eagles while you were in attendance.

I've spent 30 years wondering the very same thing - why a convocation (!) of eagles can't resist watching washing being hung out ???
Mind you, it's something to do as a spectator sport 'cos the TV reception is a bit dodgy on Skye (The Cuillins are in the way ).

Toady is a very important day: the 706th anniversary of the glorious Bakkle of Bannockburn  when Edward the Twooth was politely escorted to the Scottish/English border (heading south).

Party at my hoose - raggedy kilts and ginger wigs compulsory.

O-o-o-o- flower of Scotland ........ continues for 94 verses.

As yesterday was the last day of summer, I took a walk in the sunny and warm garden:

The largest pyrawotsit is the best it's ever been - these 2 pix are 'low' and 'high' shots -

By contrast, this is the next biggest pyrawotsit which is just about the worst it's ever been -
