Had the place to myself this morning , was a cold but bright start to the day
Was mostly about the little grebes and a lovely green sandpiper, and a shy song thrush having a morning wash

You were way closer to the little grebes and sandpiper than I could get yesterday. Nice to see one made a catch. I don't see many thrush, well seen.

The little fellow or gal in photo 18 is very darling Linda; what type of bird is it?

Little grebes kept catching fish then coming into the reeds close to me to eat, oh and the green sandpiper flew in to a ditch infront of me so that's the closest I have ever been to one. Small pond on the right is where kingie comes in at winter time but seemed to be well used today with GSW, chiffblers and lots of finches and the songthrush

The bird in question is a songthrush Charles

Some from yesterday and today. Was fascinating watching the cow wading through the marsh. Little grebes put on a great show, baby Grebe wasn't having any of the fish the mother was offering and would duck under the water

The baby grebe may think it's being fobbed off, it likes salmon

Nice clear pictures with it's catch Linda. Great flight shot of the sandpiper. That looks like a nice coo

Hi Linda! This is really funny how the mum followed her wee one around with a fish but it wanted no part of it!
