I am absolutely delighted that BT have finally got their act together AND with nearly two weeks to spare before the first test commences. The financial settlement certainly goes some way towards pouring oil on troubled waters but getting the job right in the first instance would have been even better.

You thought this soap opera was over, didn't you - so did I until The Postman Cameth (see other post). He handed over a largish square parcel, said 'No signature needed' and departed - a little too rapidly I thought.
Upon opening said item I found no paperwork just a cardboard box containing a well-packed "BT Mini Connector Kit". I had no idea what this was.
A moment ago I googled same and find that these unasked for, uncalled for and unexpected items (for there are two) and 3 miles of cabling, cost almost £93 and obviate the need for ethernet cabling around my home. That final clause is Greek to me and I don't know what to do with them.
They very much resemble both ends of a baby alarm system, strangely enuf.

I shall put the cardboard box in a safe place and await my next bill upon which it had better not appear .......

IF they are a freebe I would say they are worth having. I have no problems getting the wifi around the chateau's many wings but I don't have BT TV to worry about. Given the problems experienced with the installation I think they've sent them to help and they should be used if possible.

Sounds like they are wi fi extenders placi. Can have wi fi all over the house. I have a pair but not the mini. That way I can get wi fi on my television, and if need be a computer upstairs.

Now that BT's laughable coverage of The Ashes and half of the Tri-series are over I have negotiated a return to Sky.
So - am being switched off from the outside world from tomorrow, 26th. Snag is the Sky engineer isn't visiting (at least I hope s/he will) until next Sunday, 4 March .
