I see flying red kites all the time, rarely perched and then only at a distance. Very nice photo's Bob.

Go for a drive towards Oxford William, M4, A,34 and A303 are inundated with them. Inconvenient to stop and take a photo tho

Lovely selection Bob, I'm with snappy, see them quite often flying, but only seen one perched and that was for about 5 seconds before it was off again!

Cheers Snappy. TBH they were both perched as much as they were flying. Like all my photos to get close I do the 4 steps, pause, shoot, repeat lol.
