Yep but thankfully the vaccine rollout looks to be going quite well. They'll need to really speed it up though. Even at 2m people a week it'll take until August just to do everybody once. I don't anticipate getting the call until at least May but I'm hoping my mum will have it this month.

There was a snippet on the news yesterday, that more than 10,000 people have come forward to volunteer their services, to help with vaccinations i take it. Also there must be armed forces medics that can do the job also. So there is a resevoir of people out there, if the vaccines suppliers can keep up with the demand.

Yes very much so. The number of people doing the jabs isn't the problem (each one can do 200-250 a day). The problem is supply.

Another problem, apparently, is the glass vials that hold the vaccine are in short supply too.

I had to take my 91 year old uncle for his jab today. He's originally said he wasn't bothered about going for it seeing as he doesn't get out much and he lives in a village but I think the images on the TV of patients suffering and the rising death toll have changed his mind.
It all went well and was very well organised. The whole process was 20 minutes including the 15 minute period you are asked to sit and wait after the injection. He already has a date and time for the booster jab.

That is good jacksparrow. I reckon i will get the call around March.

Following on from my uncle's jab. I checked today and he has had no side effects.

The second jab is when you're more likely to get mild side effects which should only last a day or so.
