Just having my first mince pies. The local shop have them, and when I asked how long have you had them the reply was weeks. Ah well, better late than never. Very quiet here to greenfinch. Here the local cats get up into the hawthorn and eat the suet pellets.

From Christmas to Easter. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised as the Easter Eggs will be in the shops by now.

I was out the front trying to put my suet filled half coconut back up in the silver birch tree when this tail caught my eye hurrying across the road further along, then it crossed back - it was attached to a squirrel

who was now bounding along the pavement. It's quite busy with traffic
Well it's just that here I've only seen them in the garden or up the conker tree down the road
