Funnily enuf, heard on News this very morning that a telephone scam is going round purporting to be from Your Bank Card Provider.

Yes, I saw that too. The Bank of the Wee Glen wasn't mentioned by name but I immediately thought of you.
I had a different one land in my Inbox today. It purports to be from a Tanisha Howe, Senior Accounts Payable Specialist for K.J. Watking & Co.
It looked a bit iffy so I Googled the company name and it is a scam doing the rounds. If you click on any of the supplied links hell awaits.
I received another spam email today which tries to install malware if you click on the links. The link I have provided warns about the scam and in NOT anything from the email itself. http://myonlinesecurity.co.uk/eliza-fer ... c-malware/

I just deleted it without opening.
I tend to do that now with practically everything which doesn't look familiar. Maybe I've lost some stuff but it's best to err on the safe side - the repercussions could be catastrophic.

You don't really need to look at what is on the screen, just the address in the address bar.
https means it's secure.
anything other than what should be simple and obvious is a no-no.
If in doubt, go to their home page and find the path from there.
