Post by PimperneBloke »

A sunny but windy trip, to rectify the missed Little Terns, plus a new one for me!

Hope you enjoy (it's quite long!)

Always a good day with a newbie PB :photo: You weren't short of photo opportunities, very nice selection of photo's. Great shots of the little terns, I found just one common tern yesterday.

Thanks Jack... The Portland Bird Observatory had posted about a plethora of yellow waggies and whinchats in their newly ploughed fields the day before 😃 50% newbie count isn't bad lol, just a shame the pics weren't as good as I'd hoped

Thanks William, it was a constant battle with the wind, for me and the birds!

Thanks Snappy, and
well done with your tern 😃 For the terns I managed to shelter round the side of the bridge, and they were slowed right down flying into the wind.... When they decided to deviate they were gone in a blink... The pros and cons of windy conditions right there lol

Well might have been windy but I think that played into your hands. cracking photos -love the YW - they are great little birds - I'm more used to seeing them in September when they are on the move South
