Mrs PB is concerned with flooding! If I see a wigeon that looks like it's been traumatised by a bloke with a Canon I'll know it's the same one 🤣
Roads were all good, I went in on the A10 north of Ely. Some roadworks on the A10 in that area with traffic lights but was ok out of rush hour...

The wetlands are flooded, not much in the way of field boundaries looking over the main reserve, other than the dyke walls... One hide was shut west of the main hide and the furthest east they recommend wellies, didn't bother with that one

A lot of wigeon and pochard about. I always think when it is flooded the birds are a bit more spread out... Still, enjoyed the visit and saw plenty I don't see much of locally.

That sounds good, ta. We're booked on the guided hare walk tomorrow lunchtime, which apparently gives access to areas not usually allowed... prob be flooded lol, and also Saturday's is the floodlit swan feed, so hopefully some good shots with the dark background, finger crossed!

Hope you have a good visit, we have done the floodlit swan feed in the past and it's definitely worth it.
