Hi Linda! I observed the courtship of two magpies on my balcony rail, bird bath and berry vine pergola which actually mated there. So sexing them was 100% accurate after that. :chuckle: 😁🤭

'Maggie' is on the left. The male is to the right and has a thicker chest, larger black 'bib' and weighs more.

You really ought to clean your lens, Linda, I see another couple of tiny specs :haha:

Love the Grebes, and looks like your geese are a-coming :)

Hmmm perhaps the tiny specs are actually on your specs PB :shrug: :laugh:

Little grebes are always a pleasure to watch ...geese were heading doon the park so probably laughing at me :nod:

Thanks Charles, several little grebes around but could be the same ones. The bird in question is a chiffchaff
