Cloudy and very damp the whole day, 15° - 19° C. and no sunshine at all. Even so the Great Tits and Blue Tits in my garden were really playful today and flying together in small flocks.

There is a really big low pressure cell over the North Sea centered half way between Inverness and Stavanger. The radar indeed looks as if somebody is stiring things up like with a big cook spoon in the stew! Therefore there are very high winds on it's southern flank between Hull and Hamburg and downward to Amsterdam. We've had wind and rain all day, no sun at all and 17° C.

The eye of this storm is now a long banana shape covering all of Norway heading eastward. Gale force wind warnungs 2 - 4 bft. for Hamburg. Wind 68 kph, 14° heavy rain all day expected.

A new strong low pressure cell north of the Azores is now intensifying and heading NE towards the UK.

A better day today, no gale force winds. Some sunshine but not a lot, high of 17c.
