Aye, Linda — winter’s truly on its way. Ye’ll want a wee dram o’ Scottish whisky, a cracklin’ fire, an’ a cozy woollen blanket tae warm yer bones! 😁

So I read this morning a Bittern was spotted at the Haugh yesterday...hmmm...well I had to go check it out!!!
Carpark almost empty...so me thinking no Bittern was spotted

Changed my usual route today and walked down through the woods to the Marsh Hide (its quicker)
Sky was blue , trees were raining and Jay's were very vocal...just my observations before arriving at the hide...woohoo it's empty

I see something white way in the distance...must leave immediately and get to other hide :photo:
Can you see it?

Nobody in the next hide woohoo...still looks far away

Jeezo why can't it just be close to the hide
A will walk fast round to the mound...yeah great idea Linda...forgetting the sun is shining right in that direction

A wee look in the river before a head back round to the hide
Toot tootand a sunbather

But a was determined to get a better pic of the Great White Egret, so after going back to the hide then back round to the mound yet again here's wit I ended up with...and a Little Egret was a bonus
