A few from Caerlaverock

Post by Linda257 »

So me and OH went to Dumfries on Saturday for a wee day out...Caerlaverock Castle and WWT was on the hit list, hadn't been to the castle before so went there 1st and it has woodlands to explore with a couple of hides that you may see stuff from at other times of the year lol

So that was the boring stuff done :haha: then it was down the road to the WWT woohoo.I honestly forgot how big the site was from last visiting a few years ago at winter time to see all the geese and it was amazing then so a wasn't too hopeful for much with it being summer but they have nice summer walks through their meadows by the ponds that generally you only have access to via hides and this is some of what I saw, pics ain't great but still a memory

A lovely day out you had Linda and many pictures to show for it. What is the last bird?
Hope you had no damage from the storm. We had some willow trees down and a plank from the fence. Not much considering the gales. It was forecast to be 69 here by XC weather but I think it was more, it was 82 over in Wick!! Not nice.

Thanks CL....last bird is a reed bunting.
We were absolutely fine here just a rather windy day with intermittent sunshine....thankfully!
Glad all is okay at yours
