Just lurved the blue alliums ! What a beautiful colour, and lots of them.
The maroon-coloured aquilegia is quite unusual. They all eventually revert to blue. The cultivars at 7 are like mine. I bought a pot of them last year in a sale (blue and white) with the idea of sowing the seeds when they went to seed. So I did that and right now the original potful is in riotous colour and not a seedling to be seen anywhere
Well well, a Welsh poppy plantation . Lovely sight.
I don't know what the small white flowers at 8.25 are, but I wish I did. They're quite lovely.

Thank you Placi. I was certainly lucky. The alliums if that is the blue balls, were on a grass verge along a road. Could not believe my luck finding them, and they are only about a foot high. The small white flowers are from bulbs. They have very thing daffy type leaves. But have not looked on the net for them. Welsh poppy, I take it those are the yellow ones. Very nice flowers, they seem to grow in several locations here, including along the road where I live.

I have a suggestion for the mystery white flowers. I first came across them during a holiday in St.Ives(the Cornish one). I think it is a "Three-cornered Leek" alium ursinum It flowers at this time of year.

You know, my first reaction on seeing that flower was "Ransoms", but it's not . The stripe on the petals is missing and the ransoms petal is more pointy.
I reckon you're close though, Jacksparrow. Wouldn't be surprised if it's some sort of Allium (it's a big fambly).

Next time you're over that way, Willpar, give a leaf a little squeeze and see if it smells oniony !!

Correction !!
I take it all back, Jacksparrow . Just had an in-depth firkle and found the exact bloom. It IS a ransoms - complete with stripe.
I mean, who knew ?!?!?!?!
