Any one else catch the eclipse? Managed to produce a composite photo of phases of the eclipse.

Back in the garden today. This year is the first time I have seen them in our garden.

Have about 20+ of these Painted lady butterflies in the garden today. They are really feeding well on the Lavender and Buddleia. :)

Must have at least five different types of butterfly flying around. :) Recharge camera battery time.

We have lots of these Western Honey Bees in the garden today. All seem to be loving and feasting on Lavender.

The pond and surrounding area is starting to come alive.

What a surprise!!! A first for me. Managed to snap a Hummingbird Hawk-moth in the garden today. Boy are they fast and skittish. Only stayed in the garden for about a minute. I do hope it comes back again and brings some friends. :)

Arachnophobes look away now. A crab spider feasting on a fly resting on an Erigeron flower.

A western Honey Bee in flight today. Love these little ones.

Bumblebee made it home safe and well. So far found three underground burrows (if that is what you call them) in the garden. Both Sandra and I need to mark them so we do not disturb the occupants.

I believe this is a Thick Legged Flower Beetle. This one was sat on an Erigeron flower.
