Home building continued today but more low key than yesterday.

Think I have a pair. Two come into the garden but don't fight. Unfortunately nowhere for them to nest in my garden. Did have a Robin chick last year. Could these be the parents?

I have not seen either of my robins in the vicinity of the projected nest site today. The Robin is well known for it's ability to install a nest PDQ but I think 24 hours is a bit quick even for them. For what it's worth I have two theories a) the nest is built and Mrs Robin has commenced egg laying or b) the more likely of the two I think, the pair have decided that the site was not as good as it seemed at first and have moved on elsewhere.
At the rear of the chateau I have some excellent ivy just shouting out for potential home owners which has been successful in past years so maybe their heads have been turned in that direction.

After coming down from the bird garden I walked along beside the hedge to check the temperature on the thermometer and came thisclose (well almost ) to a robin on the fence just above it

After an absence of a few days I saw my Robins hanging around where I thought they had decided to nest. I am still not sure they have decided.
