Nice morning for butterflies. Positive id for 2 commas, 2 peacock, and two pairs sky-dancing. but no id.

2 days of sunny conditions in a row have just blown you out of the water William... at least 9 Brimstones driving home today, plus a couple of dark butterflies, playing chicken with my windscreen which could've been either Red Admiral or Peacocks :D (plus 5 buzzards, a kestrel and a stoat that crossed the road at a gallop!)

There was a medium sized white butterfly in my garden today. It must have been an Orange Tip but a positive ID was impossible. Yesterday a Holly Blue whizzed past my head and disappeared into some holly. :)

Well done Snappy... My brimstones were all flying as I drove by, so no hope of pics lol

Well, the forecast was correct, and it was a belter of a day. However, 2 Peacocks and one Brimstone were the sum total of butterflies. And only one Peacock landed in a suitable (ish) place for a snap! Luckily the birds made up for it :)
