Blimey that's late! Might be worth logging with your local butterfly conservation groupJacksparrow wrote: Thu Nov 06, 2025 8:08 pm I saw a Holly Blue today. The mild weather had fooled one that spring had arrived.

Re: BUTTERFLIES
I'm delighted to report the first butterfly sighting in my garden this year. It was a Brimstone. They're usually one of, if not, the earliest on the wing.

That's good Jack, I have seen a few out and about but nothing in the garden yet...Jacksparrow wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2026 8:29 pm I'm delighted to report the first butterfly sighting in my garden this year. It was a Brimstone. They're usually one of, if not, the earliest on the wing.

Good stuff Jack, like Snappy, I've seen a couple of Brimstone whilst driving but nothing in the garden, and yesterday managed a Red Admiral pic whilst I was out in Weymouth

Well done JS, still waiting to see my first of the year, either out and about or the garden.

On my way back from a walk this morning, came across Peacock. Darn thing would not play ball though, and stay still long enough.
