I don't usually know my buntings from my warblers to be honest

You could have told me it was a phoenix and I might have believed you!

Lots this morning,Sparrows, Sturks,Dunnocks they make as much noise as the Sturks,and Blackbirds,I have an old crows nest beside the back door and thethe Goldfinches get insects from it very busy today.

Two goldfinch fledglings turned up today

. I was beginning to think it was a poor year for them.

If you see yellow rather than pale green around the rump are I suppose it could be. Many of the fledglings look very similar so mistakes are easily made.

Have three Goldfinch chicks coming to the feeders. One still being fed by an adult.

This morning I had a very young looking Jackdaw fledgling being fed by a parent bird. I attach a not very good photo.
