New feeder - just arrived. Looks pretty impressive. If a Squirrel sits on top, it will close. If anything of too much weight lands on a perch, it will close.
I think it may just support the weight of a Starling, but they have no finesse when it comes to landing and I think the momentum would cause it to shut. A Pigeon has no chance!
Seems a bit of a sneaky buy for someone who likes Squirrels, Starlings, Crows, Pigeons, Jays, Magpies - the list goes on !! But they do have their own table down the garden which is filled up most days :D
The 2 separate upper compartments store 1 pint of crushed peanuts EACH! The lower compartment has two and a half pints of sunflower hearts.
It is claimed to hold over 4 Lbs of seed, - just what I need as we get through loads of seed weekly!
I've just put it out as a New Years surprise for them tomorrow.

Damn' cheek - that's for the shareholders to know and for you to .......
However, I'll calm down if you want a copy of the shares spec., the Business Plan, and the (un)certified accounts. This could be the best move you've ever made.
I'd better have a shufty at the prospectus. My Chrimbo £10 bonus is still burning a hole in my pocket :shake:

The new feeder is being well received , although they ignored it for the first day.

Just a couple of the visitors - Female Bullfinch and Coal Tit.

:)

I expect it was too windy on New Year's Day for them to get used to landing on a new feeder :flying:

Taken this morning, a bit of a snatched shot! I've been keeping my eye out for an opportunity to get the pair of them together on the new feeder :photo:
