Noticed an adult starling taking back food to the nest. Second brood?

I noticed the same Willpar, I think they are all on the second brood, saw blackbird taking food away too

Could be a late first brood I think.

I haven't had to cope with big numbers of Sturklets. Ten at the most but what I lack in numbers they're making up in noise levels.

Ten would be a bonus for me and save me a fortune. Get more than ten on the bird table and more on the ground feeder. Anyone want some STURKLETS?

My starlings have been gone for a while now, not a single one around . I was getting quite worried that something terrible happened to them and they all perished, until this morning when the bunch of them literary raided my feeders . After they had a good meal they just disappeared again. I am starting to feel used

My bunch are still hanging around here eating all that they can. See that some of the young ones have adult plumage coming through.

I have never been overrun with them this year. I get frequent visits from about ten or so mostly Sturklets to raid the fat ball and take advantage of the bathing facilities. I still haven't seen a juvenile starting to moult into it's adult plumage.

Just looked out the window to the roofs opposite. Loads of starlings were there, and my best count was 90+. Don`t know that i have seen that many out there before.

I see most of this year's fledglings have nearly acquired all their spotty plumage. Very smart they look too.
