You wait and wait ...... and they all come at once like No. 11 buses !!
Young sparrows all over the garden - well, about 4 I think but they whizz about so quickly that it may have been 22.
And on the front lawn at dusk! a young magpie being fed by two shattered parents.

Found a sparrow on my path early this morning. Looked like a young female. Took it indoors out of the way. Sadly died less than an hour later. Looked liked it had an injured left leg and left wing.

It could have been a juvenile as they all look like females until the first moult. It had probably flown into something in some kind of panic.
