Unusual sight ..... a blackbird !!!
She was just hopping around the lawn, prospecting for breakfast. Good to see.

That's lovely Placido . I'm still to see one of those in my garden. One can hope

I have seen a Blackbird once in the last three weeks though I suspect he is coming more often as the sultanas are disappearing and nothing else bothers with them since the Sturks departed.

I would love to see a Blackbird .

I went to the bird table this morning with some scraps and came face to beak with a male blackbird. We exchanged glances and I got the impression I was expected to depart and leave him in peace. However the goodies had to be delivered and he reluctantly gave ground.
I did notice that his head was nearly bald due to a lice infection.

Still waiting to see them its been along time.

Omg , I hope he recovers Jacksparrow, I read that it can be dangerous for them? That if the weather gets cold the bird can't retain heat properly due to the lack of feathers

Not seen any blackbirds here yet, since they were feeding young. Usually pick them up early with the hedgehog camera.

Mine are returning - one today sitting in a pyrawotsit enjoying the orange berries.
