I've always had a good number of Starlings here in the Chilterns year round. In fact there's a small murmuration (about 75 birds) that has been occurring the last few months that I get a good view of from my lounge window and so can watch it from the sofa! They seem to roost in a tall tree that Red Kites use to nest and perch in during the day.

So not so much what I saw but what I heard.

This is a video of a fox but I'd like some help to ID the owl call which doesn't sound like the usual Tawny owls I hear in the garden, It's brief so I've repeated it several times.

I last saw a Stock Dove in my garden sometime in October. I was very surprised to see one back again along with the ferals that seem to have adopted it. There were two of them last year which I assumed to be a breeding pair.

I don't think thats an Owl - I have a feeling it's fox chatter - they have quite a range of different calls
