Spotted first Swifts yesterday. Only two but Swifts are here. Would say a couple of weeks late.

Just about on time. Despite the cooler weather I have plenty of insects in the garden so finding food will be no problem.
Summer doesn't really start for me until the Swifts arrive. A few more weeks yet I think.

The Swifts were very noisy today. This usually indicates their fledglings have taken to the wing

. Only a few more weeks then they're gone again.

Was thinking the same with the swifts. There are a few over the housing here. Must be swift boxes somewhere here.

Very noisy here too, hard to see them but very easy to hear them
Good to know that they seem to have had a good breading season

I'm thinking the Swifts have started the long journey to sub-saharan Africa for their winter holidays. No screeching for a week now.

There were quite a few around here a couple of days ago.

I think they left my area too, much quieter these days.
