A very misty weekend in my local valley. Still, had a nice moment with a fox and watched this male kestrel hunting from up on the wires. Usually he flies off when I get close but decided to stay yesterday. Not the sharpest which I put down to me as much as the weather.
Great to be able to get a close up photo Bob

Cheers PB. Not the best conditions but still nice to watch. Also I've accidently reported yours and Willpars comment rather than replying, sorry, I did wonder why it didn't pop up lol. Still half asleep I think.

No worries... I report all yours

So after saying I'd not seen one... what's the first thin g I see this morning (after the obligatory pigeon!)? Kestrel landing in a tree about 30 yards away. Not checked pics yet but hopefully ok... so the other thing I haven't seen in a while is ummm... Golden Eagle, Sooty Shearwater and any Hummingbird.... fingers crossed the same rule applies

I'll look out for them

Hummingbirds are rife up here but after the fieldfare debacle I didn't want to upset Snappy by posting them.
