I had a visit today from a Common Darter. This is one of the smaller dragonflies and as it's name suggests it is fairly common over much of the UK and Ireland. They are,however, easier to photograph than most of it their cousins.(see Photos)

I am currently getting a visit from a common Darter most days. If it is hoping for a meet with the opposite sex it is out of luck

Several golden ringed ones again today. And a purple banded one.

A Common Darter turned up today for a little while.
