Rexit is feeding nestlings . The timing is wrong but we're all being run ragged.
I found some frozen mealworms in the freezer and am dispensing same to his great joy. He's fluttering up the window to catch my attention, "More please !!"

Nice to see placi, not seen it myself. I don't seem to get robins during the breeding season for some reason.

That's odd, Willpar - mealworms and all that .....

Just seen a robin go into a feeder. It ate a suet pellet or two and took another with it. First time I have seen that during breeding season. Are usually winter feeders for me.

Took a suet pellet away, Willpar ...... chances are there is a nest, and babies, nearby !!

Was a nice surprise to see it. Even more surprised it found something to eat with all the starlings about.

I saw a juvenile robin helping him/herself to some suet pellets when there was no other birds around, so happy
It clearly waited for a quiet time, feeling insecure and vulnerable

Rexit brought No. 1 fledgie yesterday to learn the layout of the garden and where the grub comes from . He's still feeding the youngster but that won't continue for very long.
This may be the crown prince and, obviously, his name is Rex
And so the cycle continues year after year. Very comforting

You have a nice line of succession going on there Placi. No doubt Rexit will look to assert his authority in a short while but young Rex will be keeping a watching brief ready to pick up the baton.

I saw my dear robin looking like this yesterday:

It can't be seen on that picture as it was hard to take it without disturbing him, but he has some rough looking feathers, and it looked like he was in a fight and hurt . I wanted to try and catch him, as he was just outside the door, and put him in a comfortable box with some food and water, to help him recover maybe, but by the time I found a box he was gone.
Haven't seen him today
