I'll go with that then ......

..... at least 7 or 8 little gatekeepers and big white ones. :)

I have seldom seen Butterflies this year.

Due to the unusual phenomenon of bright sunshine I have more putative Gatekeepers this morning - and also a Peacock which was sunning itself on a pond rock :).

For whatever reason it seems this year is a good year for Gatekeepers. Although I've had them in the past it was never with the frequency they've been appearing this year. :butterfly: :butterfly: :butterfly: :butterfly: :butterfly: :butterfly:

Lovely sunny day and first butterfly of the year visited albeit briefly.
I think it was a Peacock, yes, I'm pretty sure it was a Peacock .......
Anyway, it was wonderful to see :)

When the sun eventually appeared it turned out quite warm in the chateau garden. Cue the appearance of two Brimstones,one male,one female. :)

A Brimstone feasts on a Bluebell this afternoon. My first Orange Tip of the year also turned up but was a little camera shy.

Lovely picture ,Bluebells and Butterflies are still sleeping up my way but I did see a big Bumble Bee today. :wave2:
