Today was a double whammy. First a brand new Robinette showed itself and then a little later I took delivery of a new batch of 2016 Golfinches.
There were 4 in total and here are three of them.

Ecstatic news all round !!

I've now had baby woodpigeons. They look so awkward.

And baby sparrows with their mouths wide open

Fledgling Greenfinches today. They may have been before today but it was the first confirmed sighting..
Strangely I have yet to see a really young Blackbird fledgling but I now have a couple that have quit following a parent around and are looking after themselves.

This little one was by the thermometer when I went out just now:

I didn't have my camera, Placi - I went back into the house to get it

I was only about a foot away from it as I looked at the temperature and it didn't look as though it was going anywhere fast but it did eventually flutter down

Well, it was a very obliging subject
