Do you think that is because the females are nursing Hoglets?

I'd like to think so.
I've not really seen any that could be ex-hoglets. I've seen quite a bit of "come and get me big boy" action.

I've lost track of who is who now as the paint has just about gone and I can't really replicate it. You'd think a dab of paint in the same spot would be easy, but them spines and spikes are a pain.

Hi Jacksparrow, yes that is a part of it with mothers having hoglets. Although they need to nip out for food to make milk, I don't suppose they will be hanging round. I have found here that it can go quiet for June to around August. Then they need to make a good weight for hibernation.

Joomoo, you can put the paint in the same place.

Willpar, I have done. But it doesn't look anywhere near the same. What should be spots are stripes etc.

Since I've not seen the first lot for a while, I was going to leave it for a bit then start marking again. I was getting about 5 a night.

Hedgehog resting up for the day inside door feeder. None of my marks on it, but two marks from other people, but very faded. Gave him a dulux dab and a feed.

I had a Hedgie visit over night. I didn't see it but it left it's calling card :) I didn't see the CC until after I'd stepped in it. :(

Already done  . When the expected winning materialise it'll be Heather Brew all round. Not the normal stuff either. The Cru Exceptionale 2008 will be called for. Warn the Chef du Cellar. :D
