Lovely to see Squirrel. Mine are still tucked up. May see my first one towards the end of the month.

I always thought that Hedgies hibernated not because it was cold but rather that natural food was unavailable. If there is food i.e. squirrel's offerings they may as well stay awake.

Sometimes I put food in the shelter, sometimes just on the feeding tray. Even if there's no food in the shelter, they still go in and poo right in the corner. :(
Most nights the food has gone.

Hi Nuthatch, I have just read the email from Hedgehog street and went to the link provided. Was somewhat surprised that I came that high. I thought my numbers were down for 2014. What I found really interesting is how far my county is down the list for feeding our prickly friends. Next survey will be 2016.

:hedgehog: That's a shame isn't it :(

I think I might still record my few hedgehogs on last year's downloaded calendar pages - I've still got them up  I expect you'll still keep a record.

I wonder if anyone else is collecting stats this year  :hedgehog:

Went up into the garden this morning and the food has gone from the dome feeder. Must have been ate over the past two nights as I have checked it now and again and put out fresher food. The ground is so wet am trying to keep off of it. But have replenished the dish with food. Will put out a camera tonight. No food gone from doorfeeder. But I have to see whats eating the food up in the garden before I can confirm is was a hedgehog.
