Do it, do it now !! Cold weather, hungry birds - song thrush guaranteed . It would fit nicely into the corner of the chateau's rolling acres just between the ski slope and the helipad .

Ssshhhhh the local council think it's a croquet lawn and I don't want to spoil the surprise

The song thrush visited again today, mid-morning. Both ate and drank, and bullied away the teenage blueys .

Song thrush yesterday which returned more confidently today - even at one point brought a little friend . Things are more advanced this year than last, I must say !!

I reckon song thrushes are brainier than blackbirds - no probs at all with the difficult puzzle of gaining access to the tasties inside the ground feeder cage which baffles some blackies on a regular basis .
