GOLDFINCHES
Re: GOLDFINCHES
Glad your investment is paying dividends, Jacksparrow .
The question is, of course - was the demand there before the supply or have you attracted new customers ??

The same thought occurred to me. I'd like to think the latter option as previously I rarely saw the old feeder using all 6 ports at once. I am ,however, now regretting not forking out a bit more cash and getting an even bigger one.Placido wrote:Glad your investment is paying dividends, Jacksparrow .

Re: GOLDFINCHES
At 3.35 pm, juuuuust beginning to get a little dusky, a cloud of goldfinches suddenly landed in the birch tree. Must easily have been 20, even maybe 30. Stayed about a minute, just swapping places and flying around. No attempt to eat.
Maybe they were getting their second wind whilst on their way to somewhere.
Aaaanyway, a beautiful sight, if a tiny bit murky

Some goldfinch shots taken in December. We get anything from 1-5 on the niger seed feeder most days and always nice to see them.
