Re: SWIFTS, SWALLOWS AND HOUSE MARTINS
Looking at Devon Birds website, some swallows and sand martins were reported on the 7th March.

Was thinking the same JS. Not only next week getting cold, but could be the end of the month also.

Seen my first swallow of the season this morning, was watching a couple of birds in a field and it flew over. Just the one.

One swallow doesn't make a summer goes the old saying but it is a good start.

I still haven't had a definite sighting of any Swifts. There are usually lots about by the middle of May. There is a small colony of House Martins a couple of streets away and they have returned on time.
