Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
Had a nice wee walk around the Shipstal end of Arne this afternoon. Our dog is 13yo, nearly blind, nearly deaf and he's got liver problems, but he loves it. We've got a dog buggy and he walks so far until he slows down, then we put him in the buggy and he's the King of the Castle! The Shipstal end of Arne is ideal for pushing him round, and it's so relaxing for me and the OH! Didn't see anything spectacular but there was a family of shelducks. Mum Dad and five chicks having a muse around the mudflats directly in front of the Shipstal hide. We watched them for ages!

See so many of these with the parasite growths on the legs, I presume that is what it is. Lovely to see a healthy one.SnappyMac wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 3:59 pmGreenfinch (Chloris chloris)

Thanks Bob, it does look heathy as do the adults. It's the chaffinches that I rarely see a healthy one of, always have scaley feet and legs.
