Re: FROGS
I think my Frogs have sensed the imminent return of winter
. I could detect no activity in or around the ponds today.

Re: FROGS
Now the thaw has arrived I took the opportunity to get rid of the pack ice which had formed on my ponds which was over an inch thick in places. I soon became apparent that the "disappeared" Frogs had been underwater for the duration of the big freeze. The very cold water seems to put them into a kind of stupor but a short while after the "bergs" had been removed they started to stir again.

Re: FROGS
The first blob of spawn appeared today
Meanwhile elsewhere in the ponds I spotted about fifteen Frogs, some in couples the remainder bachelors.
I decided to get rid of the last bags of dead leaves from last autumn today and found three junior frogs about a quarter size of an adult. The breeding program is going well
