Why does the Government have to interfere in every single thing ?!?!?!?
What are the beavers going to do/not do in a new location which they are doing/not doing right now ??
I can think of one or two other things our beloved leaders could more profitably spend their time on

I read this as well - hooraaaay !!!
However, what puzzles me is how the Powers That Be know that these beavers are the North American type and not the European. They must have formed at least an "opinion" because they are calling them "non-native" and once upon a time the European beaver was very much a native Brit.
However, They must get involved and test the poor things in case they have an infection. Do me a favour .......
Hopefully they won't be shot now that Paterson (It's wet over there") has gone.

Don't think it would matter if Patterson was still there or not placi. No doubt it is the law of the land. As they the europpean beaver has been extinct for 400 years then those otter ones will be classed as non native. But the kits are brits. Born here so brits by birth. Anyways, I can understand they will be needed to be tested for infectious diseases, but having said that, if nothing found let them be or at least monitor them.
They are probably the best flood prevention tool that could be invested in, and it wont cost millions if not billions.

Natural England will decide the Otter beavers fate today. Seen it on the breakfast news. Gave it a nice little slot before 9am.

Looks like the beavers can stay, subject to conditions.
