I see lots of these caterpillars but only on Ragwort. I think I have only see one other, an impressive Privet Hawk-moth caterpillar.

They are a Common Ragwort specialist but if they run out will eat other ragworts, groundsels or each other if hungry enough

They have loads of ragwort to work through, so hopefully they won't get that desperate :D

I have two ragworts in my garden. Every year they get Cinnabar caterpillars and every year they get eaten by birds.

I always think they are quite well camouflaged for the plant. Sounds like not well enough...
