If dried mealworms are only a treat my Hog is very spoilt indeed. I have been putting some out every night recently and every night they've all been eaten. I did wonder if it would turn up last night as it was so cold but the food wa gone just the same. I'm reluctant to put out anything that cats like as I don't want to encourage them at all. :cat: :shake:

Hi Willpar thanks for the reply, a friend of ours still has a hedgehog coming to her feeding station and she feeds them meaty cat food with jelly, so have bought some chicken in jelly cat food. also we had chicken for dinner so some left over chicken pieces cut up small as a treat. we did not realize about the mealworms but have put a few mixed in with food.
thanks again Willpar.

Hi Jacksparrow, mealworms are stuffed with protein at around 40%, but very little else. I still use them but with other stuff mixed in. That way I can get a more balanced diet for them.

J0hn, chicken in jelly will be fine with a few mealworms.

Thanks Willpar , good news the hedgehog came last night around 10ish, did not see it but all the wife's chicken pieces had gone but the chicken in jelly was still there, as I stripped the carcass of the chicken there was plenty left so we filled up the bowl again, this time we caught he/she coming down the garden and into the feeder, again eat all the chicken pieces and not the cat food, so this time we left it with just the cat food and its all gone.
 :wow:
