They have minds of their own :)

I picked up a trial pot of dulux and manned the cameras last night. Only saw 1 visitor !!!
I marked him the same way I do the tippex. He's now got a massive mark on his bum. Perhaps I didn't need to be quite so heavy handed :D

Just what I want Joomoo. The little pot with the brush in the lid.

Marked another juvenile last night. Was trying to hide by my front door. Every bit of food I put out is being ate. Have 6 feeding places going at the moment.

Cat biscuits eaten Saturday night - I could tell it was a hedgehog by the mark they leave on the side and rim of a ceramic bowl. Peanuts scoffed again too but didn't rest up in the new lodge - I waited until gone 6pm to have a look :) I took some of the hay out as it seemed a bit chocka - about how much should I leave in there?

Water drunk last night (mark on the bowl) not too sure about the biscuits but could have had a clean chin having 'washed' it in the water first  :hedgehog:

Do you actually mark the water bowl, Nuthatch, or just fill it to a predetermined mark ??
I find that every morning there is a bit of soil in the water bowl, or maybe a little piece of mealworm, whatever, so it's easy to tell. Since beginning my summer routine I haven't found a clean water bowl once :) - I shouldn't have relied on the pond water previously, I realise that now :( :prod: :smack:

No, Placi I don't mark the water bowl - it's just that usually the hedgies leave a stripe of something (soil?) on the bowl where they lean on it  :hedgehog:

Oh yes, right, same here.
I was trying to get my head around you assiduously marking the water level each night

 :rofl2:

I've never put a bowl of water out before as they drink out of the poultry drinker but I thought I'd better put some by these cat biscuits   :hedgehog:

I expect your pond is good enough for them - they'll want room service next
