Was a huge hedgehog inside doorfeeder just now. So I grabbed the scales and weighed it. Came in at a whopping 1492gr. Had my rather faded mark on it near its rump. Don't know if it is the one in the little and large video, could well be.

Just looked at the video, is not that one, mark is in the wrong place. One in video has it on top of its back. Still a big one though.

I saw a juvie in my garden today. Problem was it was just gone 5pm.
He walked across the patio towards the feeder, so I raced out, grabbing the tub of mealworms on the way. I startled him but dumped a handful of them in front of his nose. He started munching on them.
I kept an eye on him and let him carry on whilst I faffed about preparing a box with food and newspapers. When I was ready to go grab him to put him safe until nightfall, he'd disappeared. I hunted high and low, in the garden and out, but no sight or sound of him.
At least he knew where to head to for some grub. I hope he's OK, even though he was out and about in daylight.

I do so hope you're right, Joomoo, fingers crossed.
Hate seeing one in daylight - twice now it's been bad news for me. Both times little ones :( .

:hedgehog:  Willpar :)

Maybe the little one will visit after dark tonight, JooMoo :yummy:

Saw a medium hedgie eating the egg yolk in the near dish and one a couple of hours later trundling round the back of the raisins near the fir tree and towards the peanuts in the corner - it's shaded by the hedge there so I didn't see exactly where it went :hedgehog:
